It all began in 1905, when the Marini family decided to take over an old tavern nearby Udine, a place where locals would meet at the end of the day for a traditional tajut (Friulian saying for “a glass of wine”).
Over the years, thanks to the III and IV generation of Marini, the entire environment has been completely renewed, as well as its gastronomic proposal.
Today, the kitchen is entrusted to the care of Chef Stefano Basello and his young team; they resort to the best local products to create modern and sustainable dishes.
The two main rooms clearly express the family’s deep love for Friuli: the biggest room boasts a traditional fogolar right at its heart which makes people feel immediately welcomed. The most recent second room is developed for real gourmet lovers; it is perfect to host original tasting tours.
